The Sleeve Micron Claim Comparison
Sleeve micron figures are vendor claims, not comparable specifications. Penny sleeves are described as 30-40 microns by some suppliers and 40-60 microns by others - for products sold under the same name. No standards body governs the measurement, so the honest move is to compare stated dimensions and material rather than the micron number.

Methodology & versioning
- We record the disagreement rather than resolving it. Where vendors publish conflicting ranges, both are reported - the conflict is the finding.
- Non-disclosure is recorded as non-disclosure and never replaced with an estimate.
- We have not measured any sleeve. Every figure is a vendor's published claim.
- Compare dimensions instead. Sleeve width and height are stated consistently and are a more reliable basis for comparison than microns.
- Versioning. v1.0 published July 30, 2026. The version-pinned CSV will not change; corrections ship as a new version with a dated note.
